The beaches of Begur

The town of Begur is located on a small mountain. The municipality of Begur has 8 beaches and many beautiful coves.
All coves and beaches are about 5 km from the town of Begur



Cala Sa Riera:

The largest beach in Begur, with a lively atmosphere, restaurants and services. It is ideal for spending the whole day there.

Characteristics: 230 m long and 75 m wide, with golden sand.
Access: On foot, by car and, in summer, by public transport along the Camí de l'Aigua.
Services: Catering, buoy service, showers, toilets, bar, leisure services, diving centre, car park, surveillance, access for people with reduced mobility and bathing service assisted by the Red Cross.



Cala d'Illa Roja:

A small cove, known for its impressive landscape and the red rock that characterizes it. It is perfect for swimming and relaxing.
It is internationally famous for being a naturist and nudist beach.

Characteristics: 180 m long and 65 m wide, with fine sand and transparent waters.
Access: On foot, along the promenade (stairs).



Platja del Racó:

A quiet beach perfect for those who want to relax in the sun. It is close to the town of Pals, connected by the promenade to the coves of Illa Roja and Sa Riera.

Characteristics: 385 m long and 80 m wide, with golden sand.
Access: On foot and by car.
Services: Showers, WC, WC for people with reduced mobility, parking, restaurant, bar, lifeguard and access for people with reduced mobility.



Cala de Sa Tuna:

A secluded and quiet cove. It preserves the old fishermen's houses and has a small cove accessible by the coastal path, s'Eixugador.

Cala d'Aiguafreda:

A small cove protected by Puig Rodó, with a pier for boats. It offers crystal clear waters and great calm.

Characteristics: 20 m long and 15 m wide, with rocks.
Access: On foot and by car.
Services: Showers, WC, bar, parking and accessibility for people with reduced mobility.



Cala Aiguablava:

Famous for its crystal clear water and natural surroundings, it is one of the most popular coves in the area, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Characteristics: 80 m long and 40 m wide, with fine sand.

Access: On foot, by car and, in summer, by public transport.

Services: Catering, parking, showers, WC, leisure services, diving, surveillance and access for people with reduced mobility.



Platja Fonda:

A quiet cove, less crowded and surrounded by nature. It is famous for its beauty and its difficult access, which allows it to remain unspoilt.

Characteristics: 160 m long and 25 m wide, with golden sand.

Access: On foot and by car (with stairs to access the beach).



Fornells:

This area stands out for its small coves, all surrounded by spectacular natural surroundings. The coastal path connects all the coves of Fornells, each with its own essence.

- Cala n’Estàsia: 25 m long and 25 m wide, with stones.

- Cala port de ses Orats: 15 m long and 10 m wide, with fine sand.

- Cala d'en Malaret: 17 m long and 15 m wide, with fine sand.

- Cala port d’Esclanyà: 85 m long and 15 m wide, with stones.
